12-Year-Old Girl Not Allowed to Play Football Because She’s a Girl — Join the Fight to Change It

As a father, I have become much more aware of equal opportunity for my daughter and this story I heard about today should not be happening. There is a 12-year-old girl named Maddy Paige from Georgia who was kicked off her football team because the school says it will give the boys on the team impure thoughts. She was the starting tackle for the team and has been playing football since she was in second grade.

It is sad that this can happen in this day and age, but there are some web sites where you can join the fight to stop it. Maddys own Facebook page has over 13,000 likes and is growing. There is also a petition that you can sign addressing her school for no more gender discrimination at change.org.
