Veterans Day - also known as Remembrance Day and formerly called Armistice Day is a day to commemorate the dedication and sacrifices of members (veterans) of the armed forces, past and present, who have served our country during times of war as well as times of peace since World War I. Usually observed on the 11th of November, this date was used to recall the end of World War I in 1918. World War I ended at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month with the German signing of the Armistice. We here at 98.3 THE KEY are eternally grateful for those who unselfishly served during World War I, World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, the Gulf War, and to those activley serving in the current War on Terror.

There are many events scheduled in the Mid Columbia today to honor our veterans. See the complete list is here from the Tri-City Herald.

Thank you and God Bless!
