I'm always interested in how people from different parts of the US speak. For instance I grew up calling carbonated fizzy drinks "Soda" or "Soda Pop" but when I moved to Washington State I noticed everyone here calls it "Pop"

Here's the results from a former Harvard professor Bert Vaux. He asked tens of thousands of people across the U.S. these questions and released the results as the 2003 Harvard Dialect Survey.The results are very interesting.
