It was a great Saturday at Petsmart in Kennewick as many animals found new forever homes and brought smiles to lots of customers.

Many local pet shelter agencies brought dogs, puppies, cats, and  kittens.

Little Lives Small Animal Rescue of Pasco brought  a few rabbits, rats, birds, lizards and a corn snake to be adopted.

The event is a big hit as the store acts as the go-between the agencies and gives families a chance to check out the animals outside of a shelter environment.

In 2016, Petsmart in Kennewick assisted in finding homes for 917 homeless pets.

The next event coming up is a meet-and-greet Dec. 2 sponsored by Mikey's Chance and if you are looking for a new best friend, it's another chance to see and take home a wonderful pet who needs a loving human.

Here are some extra photos from the event.
