Summer is a busy time, there is always something going on. It's nice to spend quality time with family and there are some fun things happening this weekend in Richland that you may be interested in!

Friday, July 18

Learn how to knit with just your arms at 1:00 p.m., at the Richland Public Library, 955 Northgate Drive.

This creative, fun and easy knitting method uses no needles, just your arms.  This free, public program is open to all ages, but children under six years old must be accompanied by an adult. Meet in the children’s story circle.

Richland’s Annual Sizzlin’ Summer Beach Party is from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at George Prout Pool, 1005 Swift Boulevard. Admission is $4 and includes food, games, entertainment, and prizes.

The Outdoor Family Movie is Disney’s Earth and will be held at dusk in John Dam Plaza. Blankets and picnic baskets are encouraged. Chairs are allowed, but please place them near the back or sides.

Saturday, July 19

Enjoy a narrated walk of the Urban Greenbelt Trail. This easy to moderate 3.25 mile looped walk begins at 8:00 a.m. at the Richland Community Center.

A children’s workshop and play day is at Goethals Nature Park from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Staff from Home Depot will assist children with building a race car. The park, which features a stream, tunnels, and playground, is at 301 Goethals Drive.
