I noticed on Facebook a discussion about picky eaters. If a kid is underweight because they only eat junk food, and need to eat more healthy food but won't because they're picky, is the parent at fault?

Stacy Lee said kids are born picky, but parents can choose not to indulge it. They can force kids to try new foods and finish their food whether they like it or not.

I said babies will eat anything, and when pickiness manifests itself, the parent must squash it.

We both agreed parents can "do something" about picky eaters. They aren't powerless. WHAT DO YOU THINK?
