Andrew Kirk has been a journalist since 2003. Although originally from the Tri-Cities, he lived in Utah for 17 years and is a graduate of the University of Utah. He is married with children and currently lives in Richland. He is an amateur historian and used to teach Mandarin Chinese to middle school students in Park City, Utah. For fun he watches movies, visits parks with his kids and occasionally rides a bicycle.

Townsquare Media and Apple Valley Dental have partnered together to help collect school supplies for area students in need. Please drop off your donations at Apple Valley Dental or Townsquare Media's office by August 19. LIGO Did It Again! Gravitational Waves Detected AGAIN!
Albert Einstein said colliding black holes should create tiny jiggles in the space-time fabric. LIGO at Hanford was built to detect them if they exist. A second was built in Louisiana to confirm the event and also to triangulate where they came from. Apparently LIGO and its sister station detected the microscopic jiggles AGAIN!
