A masked man was shot and killed by a customer at a 7-Eleven in Seattle after he attacked the clerk with an ax news reports say. The attack started after 5 am Sunday morning when the masked man entered the store and started attacking the clerk with an ax. Another customer, who authorities say is a man in his 60's, then pulled out his concealed weapon and shot the attacking man.

The masked man died at the scene but officials say it is unlikely that the customer with the gun will face any charges. He was licensed to conceal carry and had been getting coffee at that store for years. Police credit the man for saving the clerks life and say that if the man had not acted, it could have been the clerk lying dead on the floor that morning. They also said they have no idea yet of the motive for the attack and that the masked man was in his 40's.
