For Kailey Thomsen, a Richland High School sophomore, playing the violin has always acted as an escape.
Twelve-year-old Olivia Manning (not pictured) is a freaking genius. With an IQ of 162, this pre-teen savant is proving to be one of the greatest minds since Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawking.
Manning recently scored two points higher on her I.Q. test than the father of the atomic age, Albert Einstein, and black-hole theorist Stephen Hawking, ranking her intelligence in the top 1 percent in the world.
It is a given that college graduates make more money. In fact, according to a new OECD study the average college graduate in America earns over $20,000 a year more than their counterparts without a degree, making the United States one of the best countries in the world to have completed college.
But it turns out there are even more benefits to college.
You may already know some lucky kids are being rewarded with things like shoes, iPads and even cars just for showing up to school. But if they don’t, is it fair to fine them — and their parents?
