Asparagus season is in full swing in the Columbia Basin and our local farms produce the tastiest varieties in the world. I'm always looking for different recipes that are winners, the one I made last night was a definite keeper...
Nothin' like Comfort Food on a cold winter day! But, if you're like me, you want to get that hearty satisfying feeling from something that tastes great, but without unhealthy ingredients like gluten, preservatives or anything processed.
I love backyard BBQ's but, sometimes, I like to try new things to make what I eat a little more healthy. So, I occasionally make a side dish of Cauliflower Salad instead of the traditional Potato Salad.
I'm always looking for new recipes and I found this one in a Better Homes and Garden magazine and made it a few times. The ingredient that had me intrigued was tomatillos. I had no idea how to use them in recipes, so glad I ventured outside my box and tried them, they are delicious and VERY healthy.
I spotted this recipe on FB the other day and thought no way 2 minutes really...So I took the challenge and videoed myself and made this absolute treasure. It actually took me 3:40 I'll admit I've never made a pie in my life...so pretty anybody can make this recipe. I took it to the company picnic on Friday and to a BBQ on Saturday and everyone loved it, this one is a keeper.
