Last Monday the Pasco City Council approved the sale of around five acres to Columbia Basin College. Student housing has been in talks for a long time, and it's finally been given the green light.

The land is located on the corner of Argent Road and 20th Avenue in Pasco. It was bought for just under $800,000, and the dorms should be ready to be rented out in the fall of 2017. They're expected to have only 100 rooms initially, but eventually have 378 when the project is complete.

This is a huge step for both CBC and the Tri-Cities, as this will be the first student housing for either college around.
