Approximately 10-15 percent of people have a genetic mutation associated with an increased risk of breast and ovarian cancer. Genetic testing could help women find out if they have the gene and are at greater risk. The Tri-Cities Cancer Center will host a free presentation on Genetic Testing for Breast and Ovarian Cancer where information will be given about the characteristics of cancers, guidelines for testing, managing hereditary cancer risk, costs, and recommended options to reduce your risk.

The presentation will be held on Oct. 16 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. A complementary lunch will be provided courtesy of the Tri-Cities Cancer Center Foundation. If you are interested in attending, they ask that you RSVP before Oct. 14, as seating is limited. Call (509)-737-3427, or register online at tccancer.org.

The Tri-Cities Cancer Center is able to host events such as this thanks to support from the community. Donations stay local and help to fund cancer programs and services for patients, their families, and the community.
