I took some video earlier today, poor visibility makes it hard for drivers, and it is much worse now then it was then. Be careful out there!

Due to the current conditions and forecast, Hanford employees will be released from work early today.  Only essential employees needed to maintain minimum safe operations are to remain at work through the remainder of the shift.

To alleviate traffic congestion, please adhere to the staggered schedule below.

200 East Area, 2:00 PM

  • All Areas South of the Wye Barricade, including employees working in Richland, 2:00 PM
  • 200 West Area and 100 Areas, 2:45 PM

Employees must check with their manager prior to leaving and are urged to use caution, be prepared for adverse weather or road conditions, and plan for longer commute times.  Employees also are advised to stay tuned to area radio stations for possible road closures, which could affect travel.

In addition, swing shift has been delayed 2 hours tonight for Hanford employees.  Only essential employees needed to maintain minimum safe operations are to report to work at the usual time.

The Rattlesnake Barricade will be open at 2:00 PM for those that travel on SR 240.
