Fast acting by Benton County Deputies likely saved the life of a young man Tuesday night near Badger Canyon.

Deputies received a call about a man in distress, he was found nearly passed out in the snow off the road. Officials didn't say how he got there, but he was suffering from a narcotics overdose.

Deputies gave him an emegency shot of Narcan, which counters the effects of drugs and helps stabilize the person. He regained consciousness, and agreed to be taken toTrios hospital for further treatment. Deputies say he was already showing early signs of exposure, would have likely died had they not found him.
