Domestic Violence Article By Russell Wilson Will Stop You In Your Tracks
Russell Wilson is my favorite Seahawk not only because he's a great player but because of his massive heart. I absolutely love when he post's pictures of all his visits to Seattle Children's Hospital. Now he penned a revealing article about Bullying and Domestic Violence.
He started a campaign called Pass The Peace through his Foundation 'Why Not You? Why Not Us?
One exert from his article in the Players Tribune that stuck out to me was this:
How many of you reading right now knew that October is Domestic Violence Awareness month? I certainly didn’t. I had to Google it. And that’s part of why I felt so inspired to do my part. This initiative, this story, is about acknowledging something difficult, something we’d rather not see. When I look back at beating kids up on the playground, I don’t like that image. But I moved past that place in my life, and I’m proud of the man I am now.
I love his candor and his message of hope and change. Click here read the entire article and get inspired. More importantly donate!!
