The second-annual “Sweater Weather: Fashion for the Urban Forest” a yarn inspired tree wrap and art walk through the park, has begun.About 20 sweaters, created by fiber artists of all ages and experience levels, decorate the tree trunks in the south end of Howard Amon Park now through October.  Two guided walking tours are also scheduled on Wednesday, October 7, and again Wednesday, October the 21, at 9:00 a.m. Walkers are invited to meet at the end of Lee Boulevard for this for this moderate one-hour walk.

The project is sponsored by both the Richland Parks and Recreation and the Parks Commission to encourage conversation, community pride, and walkability.

The tree wraps will be removed on Sunday, November 1.
