The following statement was released by Kennewick Police around 11 a.m. Thursday:

Overnight, investigators from Tri-City Law Enforcement and the US Marshals were developing leads on the location of Deshaun Anderson. Anderson is a suspect in at least 1 of the recent Pasco Shootings and had 8 outstanding warrants. He was considered armed and dangerous and threat to the community. All of the Tri-City Law Enforcement agencies have dedicated resources and time to locate this man. Early this morning that hard work and relentless police work paid off. It was learned that Anderson was hiding in an apartment at 507 N Arthur (Peppertree Village Apartments). Because of the close proximity to Kamiakin HS, the school was placed in a lock down status at around 8:00 am. The Tri-City Regional SWAT team was activated and responded to the scene. As the SWAT team members were surrounding the apartment, Anderson walked out on the second story balcony and gave himself to the SWAT team without incident. The show of force with SWAT armored vehicles and SWAT team members surrounding the apartment, was enough to get Anderson to give up without incident. That is the ideal resolution when the SWAT team is deployed.
Kamiakin HS was taken out of lock down status at 9:30 am."
