A bookkeeper has received a 5 year prison term for embezzling $720,000 from a Richland dentist over a four year period.

Jennifer Morris pleaded guilty to first-degree theft according to a story from the Tri-City Herald.

Morris used the money for jewelry, purses, trips, dog boarding and cell phone services.

Dr. Robert Whitson said the embezzlement almost made his business go bankrupt.
