Dave Benscoter has discovered hundreds of apple trees from the late 1800's on Steptoe Butte near Spokane.

Within the ancient orchard were three varieties of apples having been out of the loop for the last century: the Arkansas Beauty, Dickinson, and Nero's.

Heirloom apple experts confirmed his finds.

This means you could soon taste or bake with apple varieties no one has eaten in decades. Got an old apple pie recipe from great-grandmother? You could be able to make it the way no one has made for 100 years!
