‘Family Feud’ Host Richard Dawson Dies – Relive Some of His Funniest Moments

Richard Dawson, the beloved ‘Family Feud’ host from the ’70s, died Saturday from complications with cancer. He was 79 years old.
In a statement published on his Facebook page, Dawson’s son Gary wrote, “It is with a very heavy heart that I inform you that my father passed away this evening from complications due to esophageal cancer. He was surrounded by his family. He was an amazing talent, a loving husband, a great dad, and a doting grandfather. He will be missed but always remembered.”
Aside from the ‘Feud,’ Dawson was known for his appearances in ‘The Running Man’ movie, ‘The Dick Van Dyke Show,’ ‘The Alfred Hitchcock Show’ and, even more famously, in ‘Hogan’s Heroes.’ But it was his job as the loveable host from the family game show that we’ll always remember him for.
Aside from being what some would say a little too lovey with the ladies, Dawson always made those funny moments on the show even more hysterical, especially when the contestants gave completely wrong answers. Relive some of his funniest moments from ‘Family Feud’ below.
