Fireworks providers can't possibly match Mother Nature's Monday Show, but you can do your best to replicate the conditions with your own display, as long as it legal. Here's the breakdown, but for all the specifics, go to the Office of the State Fire Marshal.

Fireworks stands are open NOW through July 5th across the state, including Benton City, Richland and West Richland.

It is illegal to shoot off or even possess fireworks in Pasco, Connell, Franklin County, Kennewick and Prosser.

Sales are legal in Burbank, but Walla Walla County has shortened the sales window. Stands are not allowed to open until 9:00 a.m. Saturday.

The maximum fine for illegally discharging or possessing fireworks is $1,000 each time.

And get this, while the fireworks you buy in Benton City and Richland are legal to be set off in the unincorporated areas of Benton County, West Richland fireworks purchases cannot cross into rural county areas for use because some of the items are banned. It seems like that would be difficult to enforce.

These are state laws:

Fireworks can be sold and discharged noon to 11 p.m. Wednesday.

Fireworks can be sold and discharged 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. Thursday through Monday

Fireworks can be sold 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. on the holiday with an extra hour allowing blasting until midnight.

Fireworks can be sold 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. July 5th. Customers then have two more hours to  continue to celebrate the nation's independence by blowing up a small part of it.

In Benton City, you can buy fireworks July 5, but you can't fire them off within city limits. Benton City fun ends on the 4th.

West Richland residents can buy anytime, but discharging hours are 6-11 p.m. Sunday and Monday (firing within city limits) and from 6 p.m. to midnight on the 4th of July.

Yakima County and all its cities all ban fireworks, exceptions are Mabton, Moxee and Zillah.

Walla Walla County, including Burbank follows Washington state law sale hours, but only allows fireworks to be discharged Saturday through the holiday.

People on a tribal reservation are permitted to use firecrackers, sky rockets and missiles that report and bottle rockets.

Anyone caught using or possessing M-80's, M-100's, altered fireworks or an improvised explosive device (IED) like a pipe bomb or cherry bomb will face criminal charges.

Washington issued 867 licenses this year for retail firework tents and stands.

Legal fireworks include: cylindrical and cone fountains; helicopter and aerial spinners; smoke devices; Roman candles; parachutes; wheels; mine/shells/cakes; ground bloom flower spinners, re-loadable mortars; sparklers and novelties.

Please remember to pick an area that is not susceptible to fire when discharging, follow all rules on packaging, use only under close adult supervision, keep water at the ready in case sparks go to unexpected places and clean up your debris.

And whatever you do, do NOT go fireworks shopping with this guy:

Happy 4th!
