Have you ever visited a favorite shoreline or coast line and there were dead fish everywhere? It totally ruins the experience, doesn't it? Well, that should give you an idea of what it's like to visit a beach full of dead pyrosomes.

Pyrosomes are weird creatures that clump together into tubes. Each tube is multiple animals. They bloom under the right conditions -- usually off the coast of California.

But fisherman off the Oregon Coast say their nets are full of the gooey, messy creatures and beachgoers are finding them everywhere.

No one is really sure why they're so far north. It's not a normal problem Oregon deals with.
