If you want to fly from Pasco to Cuba, soon you might be able to actually make that trip with a small layover in L.A. Seven different air carriers, including Alaska Airlines, won approval from the government to run flights to Cuba according to news reports. They opened flights from only 10 different cities named as: Atlanta; Charlotte, North Carolina; Houston; Los Angeles; Newark, New Jersey; New York; and four in Florida - Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando and Tampa.

The flights are not available for at least 30 days while they are in a 30 day public commitment period. Even then, you have to apply and your reasons for visiting have to fit in one of five different categories like family visits, official business, educational or religious activities.
