I don't know about you but I was a big fan of The Jetson's back in the day. I loved the fact that robots cleaned the house all you had to do was push a button and most things worked in the Jetson's space home and then ahh yes they flying car. Well the flying car is no longer a made up animation but soon to be a reality.

And sooner than you think 2016: Terrafugia, an MIT-born company, plans to start selling flying cars in 2016. The Transition model can fly at speeds of up to 100 miles per hour at 10,000 feet. It has folding wings, a propeller and other equipment that allows it to be driven on roads like a car or flown as a two-seat aircraft. The Transition will cost $279,000 and will require 20 hours of training. The TF-X model can fly at speeds of up to 200 miles per hour. It is at least 8 years away from being on the market.
