New information has come to light about former Pasco officer Richard Aguirre whose DNA tied him to a Spokane cold case murder after a rape charge.

The murder allegedly took place before he was a Pasco cop, but numerous witnesses have said he had used his power as a police officer to force them to have sex. New evidence also suggests he had a 15-year-old girlfriend the year he became a police officer in 1988.

Both the girl and Aguirre told investigators they did nothing more than hold hands or kiss. His superiors at the time made him end the relationship.

It was deemed at the time he did not break the law, but the information is adding to his other suspicious behavior.
