We all get excited about May 5th! Everyone likes to celebrate Cinco De Mayo!

But, do we know why we are all celebrating? I think most of us just think it's a great opportunity to have a get together!  But, we should know that Cinco De Mayo is actually a celebration of the Battle of Puebla! The holiday commemorates the Mexican Army's 1862 victory over France at the Battle of Puebla during the Franco-Mexican War (1861-1867)

And apparently, they also call it the celebration of the "Underdogs" because Mexico wasn't expected to win. They had no training, no equipment and were vastly outnumbered, yet they prevailed!

So that's good to know that sometimes the Underdogs come out ahead huh?

So celebrate! And enjoy the holiday! But do it safely! And if you drink lots of Margarita's...Please use a designated driver! :)

Have a great weekend!
