Should I Hire Someone to Do My Yard or Do It Myself? [POLL]

I have a really crappy old lawn mower... It's not self propelled and if I mow, it takes me a long time! I hate emptying the bag!  It's awfully awkward to take on and off and dump! I always make such a mess! It's usually HOT out and I'm always struggling to get the grass cut before the neighbors think I'm irresponsible!' This had been my dilemma!...

So a few years ago, I hired a guy to mow for me! His name is 'Ramon' and he is FABULOUS! I have to admit..I feel such joy when I come home from work after a busy day and my yard looks wonderful! (I even have the option of hiring him for a little weeding on the side).

He's pretty affordable and makes such a difference!  It seems he can do in one hour what takes me three to do! So,that's what I've been doing the past 3 years!

Each year however, before the season begins, I RE-debate it in my head!  Because I hate to have to come up with the monthly amount again!

I could buy a new mower with the money It takes to hire him for one summer! And then have it for years to come! Right? Seems like I should do that!  But then I'd STILL have to find TIME  in my already over scheduled life of horses, house, music/band, work, etc to do it! And, I sure love coming home to it DONE! Plus I spend lots of time gardening and managing my flower beds!

So that is my consensus!! I'm goin for another year of Ramon!I think he's worth it!

He seems to just suddenly appear soon after the irrigation water is turned on and stays for the whole season! He is very pleasant and trustworthy and it's always nice visiting with him. So...Okay! It's decided! I sure hope he shows up again this year!

Ps...I'm curious...What do YOU do? Hire out? Or do it yourself?
