Ever buy a bottle of wine to bring for a friends party? And on the way you wondered...'hmm, maybe I should have gotten a more expensive one?' Or perhaps, "Maybe they won't even appreciate this great bottle of wine...and it was sooo expensive!"   Well, here is a good way to figure it out (according to this simple formula)

Just estimate the annual income of the person throwing the party, or  the household income, and then divide it by 10,000. So, if they make $50,000 a year, a $5 bottle of wine is fine. If  income is about $120,000 annually, then look for a bottle costing around $12.

Now, you could just simply buy a bottle of whatever YOU like, and hope they like it. No matter what the cost. But, this is a good basis to go by.

Hope it helps!
