We asked you to tell us why you love your mom. We have five submissions so far. On May 11, we are randomly selecting one of the entrants to receive flowers from Arlene's Flowers and a free Family Portrait Session from Firefly BLU Photographer -- a $299 value (and includes digital rights and photos on CD). Enjoy the five stories below, and don't forget to submit yours by the end of Thursday, May 10.

Without a doubt, my mother is THE BEST!!! As a teenage boy, I tend to think she can be annoying at times, but she really makes my day better somehow every day! She is always there for me and always caring. She does her best to make me and my brothers happy. What more could I ask for? Her job is a stay at home mom. I have had to stay home before and help and dang, it's not easy! She doesn't just sit on the couch all day, she will wait until we all leave for the day then she gets busy cleaning up around the house, doing laundry, shopping, prepping dinner and even somedays babysitting my nephew while doing all this. Her job is never ending, works all day and night and never complains about it. She never gives up. This gift would be something she would love and it would be a nice gift for her. While this can not completely thank her, it's a nice start.

My mom, Chris Druce, should win because when I was unable to care for my kids she stepped up and raised them. Now today she gets to be a grandma. Without her I don't know where I would be. Love you, Mom.

Oh, where to start. My mom came to America from Germany at the age of 17. Young married and with a child. She met my father while he was stationed in Germany. She knew zero English. She was a stay at home mom for a long time. Three children total. With a lot of practice and a lot of laughing at her, we finally taught her enough English so she could at least go to town without one of us to help her get her point across. I remember once she was trying to find potting soil, and asked for "thirt" the man at the store just couldn't find any "thirt" for her garden. Haahaa. Bless her heart for trying. She is as meticulous as they come. A house and yard so clean, she is the envy of all who know her. She is now a grandma and will be finding out of Mothers day that my daughter will be having a baby! Great Grandma to be will be crying =) Even with all of her broken English, she is by far the most popular person I know. This October she will retire with 30yrs for the school district!!!!

My wife is the best mom. Our fist child was born while I was still in school and she became a stay-at-home mom and supported our son's growth and supported me while I finished my degree - 3 years later. During that time we also had our daughter for our last semester of school. She put her life completely on hold to so that our children could be home with their mother and without her support I would have never graduated with an engineering degree. Not to mention, we lived 3 states away from all our friends and family. She is the epitome of selfless love and sacrifice for the bettering of our family.

My mother is the BEST! She is the strongest person I know, and I admire her strength. Life has thrown our family many obstacles to overcome, and my mom is what has held us together. I want her to win because she deserves the best life has to offer, and I want her to know how much I love her! Donna Barnes, best mom ever!
