Jack Black Helped Build a Water Park In Tonasket WA Here’s Why
It's nice to see celebrities give back. Here's another great example of a guy lending his celebrity persona to a good cause...
Prior to his new movie Goosebumps going into production Jack Black lent a helping hand to the little town of Tonasket Washington to build a water park called Tonasket Water Ranch. He basically auctioned a day on the set of Goosebumps for donations to help build the park.
According to an interview on The Ryan Seacrest Show from 2014:
If you win, the prize I’m offering is the Jack Black Experience. You get to come visit me on the set of my new movie, Goosebumps. And you’ll get to watch us filming, you’ll get to hang out with me in my trailer, we’ll take selfies. I’ll teach you how to rock if you don’t already know. We will eat food together. I will teach you of life … you get all of me for one day. And I fly you out and I put you up in a sweet hotel.”
So why a water park in Tonasket, Washington? “My dad and a bunch of my family on that side live in an area of Washington state called the Okanogan Valley. They need a water park and I’m trying to make that happen. I think every town needs a water park. Every town needs a place for kids to play.”
From what I could find in my research on this story the Water park should have opened this past summer.
All I can say is WAY COOL Jack Black that's why we Love you!!
Goosebumps is in theaters now!
