Tuesday night Kennewick police used a taser on a 17-year-old boy who had pulled three large kitchen knives on his mother and her friend.

The boy’s mother, Floriza Vejar and her friend Judith Sixtos had been reportedly watching TV when Vejar’s son chased both women out of the house with three kitchen knives.

As police arrived to the home on the 300 block of 9th place, the teen ran back inside the home with weapons in hand. After obtaining a search warrant, the police entered the home to find the teen hiding behind a barricade made of furniture. The boy refused to respond to the officers commands and consequently was tazed and taken into custody.

No injuries were reported.The boy was arrested and booked into the Benton/Franklin Juvenile Detention Facility.
