Kennewick School District officials issued a statement Wednesday admitting they are working with the Kennewick Police Department in their investigation into a 43-year-old P.E. teacher at Horse Heaven Hills Middle school.

Police said Tonie Ann Reibolt, who's worked for the district since 2003, is accused of sending sexually explicit videos of herself to minors under the age of 16. According to reports, some were former students of hers.

School officials began to investigate June 15th after receiving word there were supposed videos of a district employee engaged in sexual acts, and they were sent to minors.

There is no evidence at this time she had any actual physical contact with the students or minors. She was booked into the Benton County Jail Wednesday on three counts of Felony Communication with a Minor for Immoral Purposes.

The District released a statement which said in part:

"Our district is fully cooperating with the Kennewick Police Department in the active investigation. The safety of our students is paramount. We take this situation seriously, and our administration is working diligently to take the strongest possible action to ensure our schools are safe places for students.

Tonie Ann Reiboldt has worked as a physical education and math teacher at Horse Heaven Hills Middle School since 2003."

The investigation is continuing.
