When you wear a meat dress, complete with a meat beret-type hat. nothing, not even an insect, is a strange fabric. Word is Lady Gaga wants her Haus of Gaga fashion team to construct a hat made out of cockroaches. Why those nasty little buggers? Because a scientific study showed that the bugs reacted to her music in a controlled environment. We can’t make this up. #Srsly.

Gaga did not arrive at the decision to have a cockroach hat arbitrarily, either. As if.

The Sun reports that Gaga wants a cockroach hat as she has grown fond of the bugs since finding out that they respond to her music more than that of any other artist.

A source said: “Lady Gaga has been looking to top her famous meat dress for some time — and this could be it. She dubbed cockroaches ‘my real life monsters’ after hearing of the recent study. Now she wants to incorporate them in a headpiece by having them crawling around inside a netted cage.”Okay, so it sounds like the critters won’t actually touch her head or hair.

But overall, meat and bugs? What a combo! What’s next? A wig made of snakes, Medusa-style? A dress made out of cake frosting? Let’s hope that she doesn’t wear the meat dress and the roach hat at the same time. That would be a disaster.

As for that study? New York students were recording the engineering and movements of cockroaches. They then played music to the insects to get them moving after they failed to respond to electric pulses.

After material from pop rockers Weezer and metal mavens Avenged Sevenfold failed to generate movement, Gaga’s songs were played and the roaches reacted.

Nothing, not even a cockroach, is safe from the power of ‘Born This Way’ and beyond! We wonder how the roaches would respond to the music of, say, Madonna?
