Perhaps a psych consult is needed as well? A Florida man is facing auto theft charges after he allegedly tried to make off with a BMW from a car dealership, probably because they refused his first offer to buy it with food stamps.

36-year-old Nicholas Jackson (pictured) was arrested by authorities after he was found driving the car.  Last Friday, he entered a Pompano Beach dealership, and offered to use his EBT (food stamp credit) card and other stamps to pay for it.

He was turned away from getting the $60,000 car, but apparently returned to the dealership later that night. He stole the car, and keys to nearly 60 other vehicle as well.

But his lack of green is what did him in.  He was spotted later in the day alongside a road, he had run out of gas because he didn't have enough money to fill the tank.

Facing grand theft auto charges, it's not clear if he has an attorney, said officials.  He will probably need a public defender, we're guessing!
