Monterosso’s Italian Restaurant is a Tri-Cities Hidden Gem

If you've never had a chance to enjoy a lunch or dinner at Monterosso's in Richland what are you waiting for? I was there last night for and wine and food pairing class and it was amazing.

1st we learned that Wine IS food, which made me really happy. Then we learned which foods go well with which wines. It's amazing how the perfectly paired wine/food combo make such a difference.

The class included 5 different wines paired with foods that bring out the flavors of both the wine and food. For instance we sampled  a 2009 Terra Blanca Arch Terrace Merlot with grilled New York steak with a merlot demi sauce, a chunk of parmesan reggiano cheese, and sauteed wild mushrooms. Wow an amazing combination.

We learned how sauces affect wine pairing and so much more. It was a fun evening and everything was excellent, if you have never been to Monterosso's they are open for lunch Tue thru Fri 11 am - 2 pm  Dinner Mon-Thur 5 pm - 9 pm  and Fri-Sat 5 pm to 10 pm seating is very limited because it is on a train car so make sure and call for reservations (509) 946-4525.
