Tumbleweed Music Festival

August 31, September 1 and 2, 2012 Howard Amon Park, Richland, WA

The 16th annual Tumbleweed Music Festival is ready to once again bring over 100 groups from throughout the Northwest to play acoustic music and dance to entertain in the Tri-Cities. People can listen to folk, sea chantey’s, bluegrass, blues, Celtic and more under the big, shady trees at Howard Amon Park in Richland ,WA. Watch and learn belly dancing, contra dancing and swing in the Community Center, take a workshop or try their hand at the open mic stage. There will be a variety of great food and craft vendors on hand to dazzle taste buds and senses. Tumbleweed Music Festival is a family friendly event with something for everyone.

One of the best parts, right behind the quality of the performers and the relaxed atmosphere, is that the Friday night concert and all daytime activities are free! Admission is charged only for the Saturday evening concert and Sunday evening contra dance.

Friday evening concert, August 31, 6:30 PM – 9:30 PM Free. Friday evening concert features local youth bands - Aundria, Dear Doris, Ghost Animals, Silver Dollar Circus, and StaticBox

Saturday and Sunday, September 1 and 2, 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM Free - continuous music! Four outdoor stages, indoor workshops, and an open mic stage

Saturday evening concert, 7:00 – 10:30 PM, admission $10. Saturday evening’s concert will feature three musical groups – Lindsay Street, Jim Page, Back Porch Swing

Sunday evening contra dance, September 4, 8:00 PM – 11:00 PM admission $8 for adults, $5 seniors/teens.
