#OptOutside Event is Friday At Tapteal Greenway

#OptOutside is the new buzzword but it was started a few years back with REI shutting down their stores on Black Friday and encouraging folks to skip the shopping and get outside to burn off those holiday calories.

There is going to be a #OptOutside event with REI and Tapteal Greenway this Friday.

If you want to participate, you can meet other participants at the W.E. Johnson north end parking lot (end of Hall Rd by Woods Nursery at the archery range) at 10:00 AM.

There will be two distances offered, 2.9 miles and 5.5 miles! The 2.9 mile hike will end at Chamna Natural Preserve and the 5.5 mile hike will finish at Columbia Point Park.

Tapteal Greenway will provide shuttle service from Chamna and Columbia Point back to W.E. Johnson Park and don't forget to bring water, appropriate clothing, and friends.
