Oz,The Great and Powerful–Worth Seeing But Still Disappointing

Oz, The Great and Powerful is one of the new movies that came out his week to home video. I had heard that it was pretty good, so I was looking forward to seeing it.  Like everyone else, I too grew up with the Wizard of Oz and was interested to see what an Oz prequel would be like.

First let me say that the movie is good. Visually it has times that are stunning, especially certain 3D scenes. I enjoyed watching it, but I can not help feeling that it just did not deliver what it could have. The acting was good, but there was just something missing. I would get into specifics, but I do not want to ruin it for you.  It is worth seeing, but unless you have kids or are a big Oz fan, I would rent this one.
