The driver who struck a Pasco school bus early Tuesday morning, then drove away from the scene was easy to find, because he left behind the vehicle's license plate.

Police say the teenage driver was in a white van, and struck the right rear corner of the bus. Although students were on board the bus, none of them were injured. After the crash, near Livingston and Road 84, the boy drove away.

Police were able to use the plate to easily track down the vehicle, turns out the teen driver was taking his younger brother to school. Police didn't say what reason the driver gave for not remaining at the scene. He was cited by police.

Law requires anyone involved in an accident on public streets or highways to remain at the scene until police arrive.
