The Sundown in Tri-Town event for tonight August 8th has been canceled and re-scheduled for August 15th.

Our news partner KNDU is reporting the cancellation due to the extreme heat today. The details of the cancellation is below:

Due to the extreme heat conditions of this week, the Sundown in Tri-Town event scheduled for Wednesday evening, August 8 has been canceled to ensure the safety of the vendors. The event will resume on Wednesday, August 15.

Downtown Pasco and the City of Pasco have collaborated to create a concert series this year on Wednesday nights, called “Sundown in Tri-Town.” Four of the eight scheduled events have passed, with over 2,000 attending during the first four weeks, and three more events are planned on the rest of the Wednesdays in August. Performer Evan Egerer has been rescheduled to performing during the event on Wednesday, August 29.

Temperatures are expected to drop in the next few days and that will be a welcome relief to the Tri-Cities.
