A state audit has found that the Pasco Downtown Development Authority actually stole more money for personal use then previously thought. Michael Goins already pleaded guilty to taking $90,000 and has even served one year and was released in July. Now a state audit says it was $143,000, almost $50,000 more then he admitted in his plea according to news reports. The strange thing is that he will not face extra charges because the total amount is still less then the $250,000 amount it takes to bring him back in for more charges.

Let's do the math, $143,000 for one year of jail. That seems like pretty good pay to me...just crazy.
