Franklin County Deputy Paul Hill was chilling in his cruiser looking for speeders when a man drove by with his truck door open fighting with his girlfriend with both hands.

The driver, who has 23 previous felonies including theft, burglary, drugs, forgery and more, had to quit fighting to grab the wheel so he gripped the woman's hair to keep her from jumping out the door.

It is unclear what the fight was over, but the woman wanted out of the vehicle and he refused to stop. She managed to get the door open, and was presumably trying to jump out.

The deputy charged him with unlawful imprisonment, domestic violence and 4th degree assault. He plead innocent to the court.
