Puget Sound Paper Carrier Run Over By… A Paper Carrier!

A 70-year-old woman delivering the Kitsap Sun in the wee hours of the morning was walking up to a house when a Subaru backed out of the driveway and killed her. The 62-year-old man behind the wheel was delivering the Seattle Times!

He immediately called first responders and felt terrible -- there was no newspaper rivalry going on, it was a simple accident.

Apparently the Bremerton home subscribed to both newspapers. The man drove up to the newspaper box to put his in, and the woman was apparently right behind him on foot and he had no idea until he heard a sound.

Bremerton is on the west side of Puget Sound across from Seattle.
