Halfway across the country the local sheriff in McIntosh County, Oklahoma, was stressed about how to pay the vet bill for the K-9 unit. The German Shepherd named Gino was taken in for surgery at the vet, where it was discovered he also had heart worms. The estimated bill to fix up Gino was around $4,000, and to make things more difficult, the dog is privately owned so the Sheriff department cannot chip in on the bill. To help, Carrie Underwood has signed two guitars and plans to have one auctioned off to help pay for Gino's bills. The other guitar is going to be auctioned off for the local fire department. Gotta love it when our favorite celebrities help local communities.
