Tri-Cities Academy of Ballet and Music need your help. It appears the City of Richland may close this Tri-Cities staple because of Road/Traffic revisions.

SAVE TRI-CITIES ACADEMY OF BALLET AND MUSIC
Joel and Debra Need Your Help

PLEASE HELP US SAVE OUR BUSINESS, THE BALLET, AND OUR FUTURE. We truly need your help. The City of Richland has presented 3 options to improve traffic flow through the George Washington Way/Columbia Pt. Dr./Aaron Dr. intersection:

1) Connect Aaron Dr. to George Washington Way at our studio. This option requires the DEMOLITION OF TRI-CITIES ACADEMY OF BALLET’s (TCAB) building which could mean the end of TCAB and Mid-Columbia Ballet (MCB).

2) Create a new street out of the green belt adjacent to TCAB and dead end Aaron Dr. at TCAB. This will in effect place TCAB 1 mile away from G-Way.

3) Widen G-Way adding 3 more lanes. This option has no effect on TCAB. This option is the only plan we can support at this time.

On Thursday, June 11, from 5pm-7pm, the City of Richland will hold an open house at the Richland Community Center, 500 Amon Park Dr. The city will present the details of its 3 options and take public comments. PLEASE COME AND SHOW YOUR SUPPORT FOR JOEL AND DEBRA, TCAB, and MCB. THAT SUPPORT IS NEEDED MORE THAN EVER. You don’t have to be a Richland resident to attend and make comments. PLEASE TELL THE CITY OF RICHLAND TO SAVE THE BALLET.

If you can’t be there, there will be an online survey (again you do not have to be a Richland resident to take the survey). We hope you will contact the Richland City Council with letters and emails of support for Tri-Cities Academy of Ballet and the Mid-Columbia Ballet. This link will take you to the City Council page where you can email each City Council member:

There may be other opportunities to give your support and make your opinions known. We will keep you advised. SAVE OUR BALLET.
