A disturbance at a Richland apartment complex led to the arrest of two escaped convicts. Richland Police enlisted their K-9 unit on the criminals who apparently wanted nothing to do with that!

All I could think about while reading this article  was the song by the Baha Men 'Who Let The Dogs Out'.....Good job Richland PD!

The three suspects ran from the area before police arrived. Police say all three people are escaped convicts, and are wanted on outstanding warrants for felony crimes.

Richland police officers, along with the Kennewick Police Department K-9 unit, and Benton County Sheriff's deputies set up containment in the area of the apartment complex.

Richland police say one of the suspects, Kayla Monk, 27, surrendered to police. Monk was wanted for escape on an original charge of possession of a controlled substance.

The K-9 unit worked to track the other two suspects and a second person, Joshua Chavez, 28, surrendered as well to avoid being captured by the K-9 unit according to police. Chavez was wanted for escape on an original charge of robbery.

Richland police report a third suspect, Casey Mallonee, 24, remains on the run. Mallonee is wanted on an arrest warrant for escape from custody on an original charge of possession of a stolen vehicle, as well as bail jumping.
