See My 10 Gorgeous Views While Hiking Candy Mountain This Morning! [VIDEO]

Looking for new places to hike? I decided to try Candy Mountain this morning. If you head West on Kennedy Rd and Turn Left at Candy Mountain Lane, then left on Hershey and left on Starburst you'll see it off to the right. The lot for parking is small.

It's a fairly steep hike up if you take the Access  cleared trail to the top. It's a deceiving trail, as you keep thinking you are almost to the top, but then when you get there, the trail keeps going up another level. This is the straight up path no switch backs yet. (soon to come)

Now, it's true, I may be the MOST direction-ally challenged person on the face of the earth...but, I sort of got lost!

I got a bit distracted looking at the way the tall grass blew in the wind in waves and the rocks( that I am sure would have an incredible story to tell if they could speak) and inadvertently, I took a wrong trail back down the mountain and then had to traverse through stickers, tumble weeds and cheat grass back across the side of the mountain to make it back to my car.

Yes, my shoes and socks were covered in cheat grass stickers. And I have to admit the whole time, I was worried about running into a  rattle snake nestled and cozy  in the tall grass. I had my head phones in and would not have heard the rattle.

But, we did not encounter any snakes (that we saw anyway) normally, if I go somewhere where I let my dog off her leash, I put bells on her collar to scare off anything that isn't excited about greeting us!

Anyway, It was a great hike! Here is a peak!
