A friend nominated her because it's been a tough year. She's been battling Stage 2 cancer, chemotherapy, radiation and the accompanying surgeries.
"She also had the misfortune of crashing her new car into a moose while trying to work during her cancer treatments. She is a hard worker and loves to decorate for Christmas. We were talking a few days ago and she told me that she had no idea how she will be able to decorate the outside of her house this year because she is still healing from her car crash and [surgeries]."
