Elderly Woman Fights Off Would-Be Kidnapper at Kennewick Grocery Store!

A 65-year-old woman pulled into the Kennewick Fred Meyer parking lot about 7 p.m. Sunday and before she got out of the car an African American man in his 20s hopped into the back seat and threatened her.The woman fought back and a young man standing nearby stepped in to help. The suspect got spooked and ran. He was last seen in a black sedan. Police are calling it an attempted kidnapping and are searching for the suspect.

To everyone else: lock your car doors even when driving and be aware of your surroundings! You'd think a grocery store parking lot at 7 p.m. would be a safe place!
