Bluewood near Dayton, Washington, opens Christmas Eve from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.!

Bluewood has snow and is opening its lifts to the public for five hours on Tuesday before shutting down for the Christmas holiday.

The resort will operate normal hours from Dec. 26 through Jan. 5.

According to the website, the slopes have a good 8 to 10 inches and more is expected today.

The EZ Rider PlatterPull and Skyline Chairlift will be operating (If all holds true, our plan is to bring the Triple Nickel lift and trails into the mix on Thursday and beyond). We expect our groomed trails to consist of Country Road, Velcro, Slalom, Huckleberry, Tamarack Trail, Skyline, Tamarack and we will have park features set-up over on the platter area. Some secondary trails may be available as well depending upon further evaluation.

In 2014 the resort is celebrating 35 years in operation!
